An antique variety best known for its large size. It is an early-season apple, excellent for cooking and baking. The finish is very pale red blush on yellow background. Wolf River is considered somewhat scab resistant and is a very winter hard tree. Ripens in October.
Sold as a bareroot tree on G-890 Rootstock (semi-standard).
Protection from deer browse with fencing or cages highly recommended for all apples.
