Conservation District Services

Forestry

Through the Forestry Assistance program you can meet with a professional forester to discuss how you can define and reach your goals for your property. Site visits, general forestry inquiries, and other land management guidance is available free-of-charge through this program.

Learn more and contact your District Forester here: www.cdcheboygan.org/meet-the-forester

Hunting Access Program

The Hunting Access Program (HAP) offers landowners annual payment in exchange for providing hunters access to their property.

Soil Tests

Free soil testing is now available to Cheboygan County landowners! Excess fertilizer application is expensive, bad for plant and soil health, and can cause water quality issues. By testing your soil you can be confident you’re providing what your plants need, in the right amount.
